Eligibility:
CNS Education Committee distributes cash awards every year to eligible Nagarathar students who meet the following eligibility criteria. Applicants must:

• Be a resident of India
• Be registered as a full-time student in any registered college (or) university in India
• Show consistent academic performance
• Show proof of family income
• Complete online application form
• Submit 'Letter of Attestation' from your local nagarathar sangam (or) nagara sivan koil. The completed document can be scanned as a PDF and emailed to: education@canadanagaratharsangam.com

Selection:
To be considered for a CNS Cash Award, applicants must meet all eligibility criteria as outlined in the Eligibility section. Recipients will be selected based on the information they provide. The CNS Education committee will use a combination of academic performance and family income to select the nominees and will make every effort to award deserving candidates.

Cash Awards of Indian Rupees 5000 will be given to every selected candidate in a year. Selection in a year, does not guarantee automatic cash awards in the subsequent years. Students are encouraged to apply for cash awards every year.

Deadline:
Deadline for receiving applications for the academic year 2009 - 2010 is June 30, 2009.

Disbursement:
