CANADA NAGARATHAR SANGAM (CNS); Toronto Canada.

CNS Cash Scholarships are awarded every year, since 2003, by the Educational Committee of the CNS to deserving candidates meeting the following eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Consistent academic achievements
2. Limited family income
3. Students undertaking professional degree and diploma courses in India

Please submit the following:

1. Completed application form :

   a) Please send your applications by REGULAR mail not by registered mail
   b) DEADLINE is June 30:- Any application we receive after that would be considered for the following year only
   c) When filling the application :
      On Line #6 : The Student's Email ID is a must
      On Line #8 : This year refers to the student's academic year in the pursuant of his/her degree or diploma not year 2007 etc.
      On Line #16 : Make sure the reputed nagarathar signs with the current date

2. Letter (not exceeding one page) stating why you should be considered for this scholarship
a) This letter can be in tamil or english but must be handwritten by the student not by his/her parent

3. Copy of Mark Certificates

4. Copy of admission letter/ letter from the institution certifying candidate's enrolment

5. Recent photograph – to be pasted on application form

6. Acknowledgement-The Student has to respond after receiving the money by sending us an email

Cash Scholarships of Indian Rupees 5000 will be awarded to every selected candidate in a year. Selection in a year, does not guarantee automatic cash scholarship in the subsequent years. However the selected candidate(s) in a year can also apply for the subsequent years fresh. CNS Scholarship is not automatic.Even the students who have received scholarship for this year, have to apply for the coming years with their previous year's mark sheet to the CNS to get this fund. Based on the merits, CNS committee will decide the selection of candidates every year.
